Summary:

 

Support the Director of Assessment, Reporting and Program Evaluation in maintaining the validity and
accuracy of schools, students and programs data required for state reporting, assessment, progress
monitoring and evaluation.

 

Essential Duties:

 

  • Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintain and organize records and reports related to students’ academic progress, enrollment, and demographic data for the division
  • Develop reports in collaboration with Director of Assessment, Reporting and Program Evaluation
  • Support Coordinator of Assessment and Reporting in the direction and completion of the various tasks related to assessment programs
  • Identify, assess, fix, document, and communicate potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used
  • Assist in determining root cause of data quality issues and recommending short-term and long-term solutions
  • Evaluate current quality control processes and make recommendations for process improvements
  • Participate, develop, or improve collaborative, cross-functional teams related to data management, data literacy, and use of data for decision making
  • Collect, process, complete and submit the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC), Student Record Collection (Fall, Spring, EOY, Summer), Special Education December 1 Membership (Dec 1 Count), Master Schedule Collection (Fall, EOY, Summer), Instructional Personnel (IPAL), Positions and Collections (PEC), Student Enrollment Demographic (SEDF), and Student Behavior Administrator Response (SBAR)
  • Manage district course master, course number, SCED code, SOL codes, etc.
  • Collaboratively develop and maintain a division data repository that will provide access to a consistent set of student, personnel, performance, and other data necessary for accurate and timely reporting and program evaluation
  • Work cooperatively with all departments to develop division data resources and tools necessary for local, state, and federal reports; grant applications; data requests; budget preparation; and other projects related to school improvement and compliance with Standards of Quality and Standards of Accreditation
  • Collects, analyzes, prepares, and submits reports and data visualizations as assigned and in collaboration with appropriate division and school staff
  • Support division and school level teams through the design, preparation, and administration of program evaluation processes
  • Design, prepare, and present findings related to program evaluation
  • Design, provide, and support professional learning in the areas of data management, data literacy, and data visualization

Qualifications: 

 

  • A minimum of five years’ experience managing, analyzing and processing large datasets required; advanced degree in related field may be substituted for some experience
  • Bachelors in related field preferred
  • Training and expertise in program evaluation, state reporting requirements, and management of
  • big datasets
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of data management tools such as MS Excel, MS Access,
    and statistical packages (STATA)
  • Leadership qualities and interpersonal skills necessary for working effectively with all categories
    of employees and the public
  • Skilled in attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify problems and critically analyze viable solutions
  • Ability to develop and conduct group orientation and training sessions
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to create replicable processes

 

 

Pay Rate:

The salary range is $80,550-$135,895

 

Contract:
Full time / 12 months / 245 days
