Qualifications:

• Applicants must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with a Mathematics Specialist endorsement.  Preference will be given to those who also hold or are eligible for an endorsement in Elementary Education.
• Have at least three years successful, full-time classroom teaching experience at the K-5 level required
• Provide evidence of significant participation and implementation into practice of research-based professional growth opportunities in mathematics and mathematics education.
• Have experience working with differentiating instruction to meet student needs.
• Have experience working with students and staff in multiple grade levels.
• Have experience in providing staff development in mathematics content, in mathematics instructional strategies, and in using assessment to inform instruction.
• Have appropriate written and verbal communication skills when interacting with students, teachers, administrators, and parents.
• Have effective time-management and organizational skills.

Pay Rate:

Teacher Salary Scale (credit is based on years of full-time experience in a related position)

Full time / 10 months / 200 days

This position is effective with the 2023-2024 school year.   This position is shared between Indian Hollow Elementary & Apple Pie Ridge Elementary School.
