Qualifications:
- Associates degree from an accredited college or university in the area of public administration, business,
finance, or a closely related field preferred.
- Certified as a CPPB, NIGP-CPP, or VCA preferred, or the ability to obtain the CPPB within three (3) years of
hire.
- Knowledge of generally accepted purchasing principles, established procedures, departmental guidelines,
and regulatory requirements applicable to the work.
- Experience with procurement and accounting software along with skills in MS Word and Excel (managing
spreadsheets, using advanced formulas, and creating procurement related documents).
- Work as a team member and be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
- Ability to prioritize, schedule, and undertake concurrent work assignments.
- Ability to use judgment and initiative in making recommendations and resolving problems that are complex
and sensitive in nature.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to research and compare products, quality, performance, and options within the requirements of end
users.
- Knowledge of the philosophy, mission, leadership needs, and planning requirements of the division.
- Ability to maintain confidential records.
Pay Rate:
Administrative Support Grade C11 Salary Scale (credit is based on years of full-time experience in a related position and pro-rated for a start date after 7/1/24)
Assignment:
Full time / 12 months / 245 days
