Summary:

Gather all of the materials for transcription and prepare for shipping to third-party vendor
Use a Braille Blaster (specific braille creation platform) to type/create all class materials from teachers that are not turned in two weeks in advance
Copy all materials into a PDF format
Inventory the items returned to the school system and deliver materials to the classroom teachers
Work directly with the teacher of the visually impaired to ensure that materials are accurate and orders are fulfilled

Qualifications:

Basic reading, writing, and computation skills; attention to detail; good written and oral communication skills; basic computer skills preferred. Experience in braille is preferred but not required.

Pay Rate:

Instructional Assistant Grade C2 Salary Scale (credit is based on years of full-time experience in a related position)
